University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is the largest and the oldest technical university in the country and among the most prestigious universities in Romania. The tradition of our institution, developed in over 190 years through the effort of the most important nation's schoolmasters and of the generations of students, is not the only convincing reason. Today, the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest is undergoing a continuous modernization process, being involved in a permanent dialogue with great universities in Europe and all over the world.
The mission of the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest has been thought over as a blend of education, research and innovation, which represents a key towards a knowledge-based society and economy. Creating knowledge mainly by scientific research, giving it out by education and professional training, disseminating it by information technologies, as well as the use of technological innovation are elements that define the university distinctive profile.
The Center of Technological Electronics and Interconnection Techniques (CETTI) is developed in the University Politehnica of Bucharest , and is intended activities design and implementation of electronic modules.
CETTI is a research and training center with equipment performance materials that ensure the development of programs aimed at continuous training within an engineering environment (Life Long Learning). By transfer of know-how, the center aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and research productive profile in general. Thus CETTI participate in completing the effort on research and innovation company, focused effort in the country to achieve the necessary electronics industries, entertainment, consumer goods, applications in aviation, marine, military, and telecommunications. Through teaching and research work with students (they having the material available in the center created over time) CETTI contribute through multiplier effect specific academic knowledge in preparation necessary specialists SMEs.
Currently CETTI has a close cooperation with other universities in the country such as Iasi, Cluj, Timisoara, and also with universities, institutes and companies from abroad such as the Technical University of Budapest, Technical University of Dresden, Technical University in Prague, University of Ljubljana, Interuniversity Microelectronics Center in Belgium, Fela Leoterplattentehnik GmbH, SC PCBOARDS SA, etc. CETTI part of professional organizations such as IPC (Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits, USA) ARIES (Romanian Association for Electronic and Software Industry); FRPC (Romanian Foundation for Quality Promotion); IMAPS (International Microelectronics and Packaging Society - Foundation for Education - USA).
