The third time the seminar took place in Hungary it has been organized in Balatonfüred again. A year before in Prenet Prof. Ambrozy invited all present participants to join the next seminar. Dedicated to the subject "Progress in Physical Measuring Methods of Electronic Technology" he organized the "9th International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology", held from May 13th to 16th, 1986, near the beautiful Lake Balaton. 37 participants from 5 countries discussed in the following topics:

• Control and checking methods for technological processes
• Measurements on components and systems
• Methods for reliability of components and systems evaluation
• Computer aided measurements and testing in electrotechnology

They experienced an excellent scientific seminar. A lot of contributions came from students and young scientists and so the majority of oral presentations were given by young people. The English presentation of the latest results in such a seminar with a team of specialists has always been a good practical exercise for the young people.

In a seminar booklet 29 papers were published (173 pages). Regarding to the next seminar in Bulgaria the Steering Committee accepted Prof. Philippov from Sofia University of Technology as a new member.
