1984 in Geising, GDR The "7th International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology" was organized by Dresden University of Technology from May 7th to 11th, 1984, in a guest house in Geising in "Erzgebirge", Saxony. The general subject was "Applications of Microprocessors in Electronics Technology, including Measurement Problems" with the following topics: " Application of microcomputers in technological equipment in electronic technology " Application of microcomputers in test equipment " Microcomputers in production lines " Measuring and microcomputers " Quality control with microcomputers " Education in these topics The ongoing integration of microcomputers in nearly all fields of technology for measuring and control pushed these topics. At the same time this subject was also important for research and education at the universities. Some 40 participants from different Universities of Technology of Czechoslovakia, GDR, Hungary and Poland, and for the first time of Bulgaria, exchanged their experiences and where informed about upcoming possibilities of microcomputer application. In the "record" a statement about the usefulness of this seminar was fixed.
