From May 15th to 18th, 1979, took place the "3rd International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology" in Balatonfüred, at Balaton Lake, in a guest house of Budapest University of Technology with the focus "Test Methods in Electronics Technology" and including the following topics:

• Quality control of materials used in electronic production
• Measuring and testing of electronic components
• Technology of deposited thin layers
• Application of microprocessors in electronic technology
• Electrical and electronic measuring methods and results
• Physical measuring methods and results
• Microscopic, microphysical (EM, SEM, ESCA, SIMS, etc.) measuring methods and results
• Computer controlled measuring systems
• Mechanical and electronic aspects of measuring system construction

The scientific chair and organizer of this seminar was Prof. Ambrozy, head of the Department of Electronics Technology at Budapest University of Technology. 39 Participants from Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland and GDR presented 21 papers and discussed problems of electronics technology in detail under the aspects of measuring technique and the use of microprocessors. In all these contributions the relationships between research and education has been reflected. The papers were published in some conference proceedings, some papers also in the journal "Precision Mechanics - Micro-Technics", translated into the Hungarian language.
