The "22nd International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology" was organized by Dresden University of Technology under the chairmanship of Prof. Sauer in Treff-Hotel Freital-Dresden from May 18th to 20th, 1999, with the subject "Technology Drivers in Electronics". In the "Minutes of the closing meeting of the Steering Committee" was stated: The "ISSE´99 was organized … on a very high level and nice venue. The primary aims of the Seminar" - like last year - "that is to provide an international forum … and to get together the professors of common interest from Central European countries, as well as from other European countries and overseas, has been achieved." New members were elected to the International Steering Committee: Prof. Morris, State University of New York at Binghamton, USA, and Mrs. Prof. Shoikova, Sofia University of Technology, Bulgaria.
