The Train-the-Trainers action aims at the delivery of micro-/nanosystems awareness courses to trainers and experts of electronics and related disciplines, who are working in Eastern Europe. These professors, teachers, PhD students, and young scientists (who are considered future trainers) are interested in getting acquainted with and obtaining educational tools about the basic disciplines of micro-/nanosystems that could be lectured by them for their students. The methodology of the Train-the-Trainers action contributes to the development of partnerships between training providers, research institutions, and creative industries, thus promoting the well-functioning of the knowledge triangle. The research side of the knowledge triangle is promoted by awareness presentations of leading edge research equipment manufacturers and by inclusion of laboratory visits, hands-on trainings, and presentations of local professors into the agenda. The innovation side of the triangle is emphasized by inviting industrial experts to lecture some novel innovations as good examples / best practices.

The Train-the-Trainers action includes the organization of eight "Nanotechnology for Electronics" awareness courses at sites in different East-European countries.

The Train-the-Trainers action intends to respond to the recommendations of the EuroTraining Roadmap regarding the content and practice for European training in nanoelectronics. In particular the aim is to reach the goals derived from the Commission's directives, the Vision-2020 Report and the Nanoelectronics ETP's Strategic Research Agenda.
